My life with Airedales started when Airedale terrier Tommy came to our house.  At that time he had 6 years and quickly got used to our family and we were able to get to know his true character soon. Because of his exceptional character, his extremely good temperament and kindness I quickly realized that this is the breed for me and my way of life.

My life has always been connected with canine company. I shared my childhood with exceptional dogs. The first puppy that stayed with us was the German Shepherd Aro. He was my father’s dog and was a true guard. Also, he loved all the members of our family. I have always wanted a smaller dog; he was too big for me. I wanted a Cocker Spaniel. After some years of negotiation and pleading, my parents decided that Cocker Spaniel Donna should join us. About a year after her arrival, Aro left us due to old age.
Donna was mainly mine - my little dog. My parents helped me to take care of her. She accompanied us on summer vacation, she loved the sea and seagulls. She was a very lively puppy, who followed me everywhere. Several years after Aro had died, Ojdip came to us. He was a German Shepherd, with extremely gentle nature, therefore the opposite of Aro. Nevertheless, he soon became the principal in the house. Donna could not accept that, so she argued her position constantly. She left us at the age of twelve. After several operations, unfortunately there was nothing more we could do to help her. After a short year, Bernese Mountain Dog Dijon joined us. But sadly, he only spent a short period of his too short life with us.
We lost Dijon in a traffic accident and Ojdip, who would have been thirteen years old next year, in the same month. Grief that has befallen us was not easy to forget.

Tommy has brought new joy to our lives, but mostly the satisfaction, because finally we could offer him life of a true family dog.
His granddaughter Venny joined us in 2007.
She is a great companion. She is friendly, very temperamental and always ready for action. She loves both, canine and human society and does her best trying to be perfect.
Venny was one of the first dogs whom I have presented in the show ring. Having conquered excellent results in beauty contests we regularly participated in different sporting events too. There we also received good results. With her appearance she fascinated us, but her merits opened the door to whole new world of Cynology.
She is the main reason that we have registered a kennel in October 2009 at FCI. We named it Malham Cove.
In January 2010 we welcomed our first ‘A’ litter.
We found the name for our kennel in the region where Airedale Terriers origin from. Malham Cove is located on the north part of Yorkshire region in England and represents a natural limestone formation, which was created by imposing limestone aggregates. In the area where this formation was created the river Aire arises. That is why this area is known as ˝Aire head˝.

Our free time is fully adjusted to dogs, that is why I can not imagine life without canine company. Every day  they inspire us with Airedale intelligence, their immense sincerity playfulness that is seasoned with a hint of Airedale stubbornness.

I hope you will ejoy our site! If you have any questions pls contact us, we will be happy to answer.
